Outside The Gates of Eden
I was watching TV when the World Trade Towers collapsed and like countless other viewers could not believe my eyes when it happened. The emotional impact was very powerful even if you were 2,000 miles from Ground Zero. I think every American was in a state of shock after the event. As an artist, I did not set out specifically to create a set of images dealing with 9/11, it just happened in the months immediately following. I originally produced this portfolio of images in the Spring of 2002. It was shown at the Fenix Gallery in Taos, but attracted only limited interest. Nevertheless, I have continued to revisit it in recent years and believe that it is an important artistic statement about a major event in our nation's recent history.
